“Reflections of Passion”: Invitation to Ruben Acuna Gonzalez’s Junior Recital

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am excited to invite you to attend my Junior Recital, “Reflections of Passion”, on March 1, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Butler School of Music, College of Fine Arts at The University of Texas at Austin.

The program will feature a selection of contemporary percussion pieces, including “Goodnight Noises Everywhere” by David Skidmore, “Burrit Variations” by Alejandro Viñao, “Music for Percussion Quartet I. Fluctuation” by David Crowell, and “Amethyst” by Andy Akiho. I will be joined by guest performers Davin Cai, Luke Fain, and Margaret Parker.

As a junior at the University of Texas, this recital is an opportunity for me to showcase the culmination of my musical growth and development. I hope that you will join me for this special evening of music and celebration.
